Relocating industrial technology is not simply moving a machine from A to B. It is a coordinated project that brings together technical preparation, dismantling, handling, logistics, the sequencing of different trades and the demands of a working production line. LETKEN relocates individual machines, technological equipment and complete production lines, according to the scope and conditions of each project.

Relocation as one coordinated project

The biggest risks in moving technology arise at the boundaries between activities. The equipment has to be properly prepared for dismantling, the handling machinery has to match the weight and the space, transport has to fit the schedule, and the target site has to be ready for unloading and positioning. When several independent suppliers manage these steps without a shared plan, the risk of downtime, improvisation and additional costs grows.

That is why LETKEN treats a relocation as a whole. Depending on what is agreed, we can take over the complete coordination or step in only for selected stages of the project. The goal stays the same: to prepare the work so that each step follows logically from the last and the impact on operations stays as controlled as possible.

Scope set by the project

Not every customer needs a complete turnkey relocation. The scope can range from a single handling or dismantling job all the way to a coordinated project moving an entire production technology.

From a single machine to a production line

The approach to a relocation always follows the specific technology. Moving one machine tool within an existing hall carries different risks than moving a complete line between two production plants. We therefore do not rely on a universal scenario, but on preparation based on the real conditions of the site.

In planning we take particular account of the dimensions and weight of the equipment, the options for splitting it into transport units, access routes, load-bearing capacity and spatial constraints, the readiness of the new location, the availability of machinery, the downtime window and the links to other production processes.

Downtime is part of the technical solution

In a production environment, time is often just as important as the handling itself. Every hour during which technology is out of service can affect the production plan. An effective relocation therefore does not begin with the first lift of the machine, but with quality preparation. The schedule has to define the order of activities, responsibilities, capacities and the critical points of the project in advance.

The aim is not to promise unrealistic zero downtime, but to remove needless waiting and improvisation from the project. Wherever possible, individual activities are prepared in parallel and the downtime itself is concentrated on work that cannot be done without shutting the technology down.
