Privacy policy and cookies

1. Data controller

We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR), Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data and Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications.

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as the law does not require us to. For any question about the processing of personal data, write to contact@letken.com.

2. What data we process

Visiting this website may involve processing of:

• technical data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, language, screen resolution and referring page
• usage data — pages visited, time and length of the visit and interactions with the content; we collect this only once you have given consent
• data you send us yourself — the content of an email or phone enquiry, including your name and contact details

We use no contact forms, we do not register users and we do not create user accounts. We do not use analytics data to directly identify an individual.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Operating, securing and keeping the site available — legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in the site working correctly and being protected against misuse.
• Measuring traffic and improving the content — your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. Without consent we do not load analytics tools.
• Showing the map of our registered office on the Contact page — your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
• Answering your enquiry and the related correspondence — steps taken prior to entering into a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, or our legitimate interest under point (f) in dealing with your request.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file the website stores in your browser. We use two categories:

Strictly necessary cookies
They keep the basic functions of the site running and remember your choice in the consent banner. The site does not work correctly without them, so they cannot be switched off. We process them on the basis of our legitimate interest.

Analytics cookies
They are used for anonymous traffic measurement and for improving the content. They are set only after you consent to them.

Consent is voluntary and you can withdraw or change it at any time in the cookie settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. You can also delete cookies directly in your browser settings.

5. Recipients of the data

We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing. We share it only with providers that run the website for us:

• PostHog Inc. (European Union edition) — traffic measurement; the data is processed on servers in the European Union and in anonymised form. It is activated only with your consent.
• Google Ireland Limited — the embedded Google Maps map on the Contact page. Loading it passes your IP address to Google. We load the map only with your consent.
• Hosting provider — operation of the servers the website runs on.
• SLENK Industries — development and technical maintenance of the website.

We have a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR in place with every provider that processes personal data for us.

6. Transfers outside the EU and EEA

The servers the website runs on are located in the Czech Republic, that is, within the European Economic Area. We use the European Union edition of PostHog, with its data centre in the EU.

Where a service — typically the Google Maps map — does transfer data to a third country, it does so on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or under standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

7. How long we keep the data

• Server logs — 30 days at most, then deleted automatically.
• Traffic data — 12 months at most from the visit.
• Record of the cookie consent you gave — 6 months, after which we ask you again.
• Email and phone correspondence — for as long as we are handling your request, and afterwards for the period in which legal claims may arise from it.

8. Your rights

As a data subject you have the right:

• of access to your data and to a copy of it (Article 15 GDPR)
• to rectification of inaccurate data and completion of incomplete data (Article 16 GDPR)
• to erasure of your data (Article 17 GDPR)
• to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)
• to data portability to another controller (Article 20 GDPR)
• to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Article 21 GDPR)
• to withdraw consent at any time (Article 7(3) GDPR), without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal
• to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR)

To exercise your rights, email contact@letken.com. We will reply within one month of receiving the request at the latest; in justified cases we may extend that period by a further two months and will let you know if we do.

9. Supervisory authority

If you believe we process your personal data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in the country of your habitual residence or place of work.

10. Automated decision-making

We do not use personal data for automated individual decision-making or for profiling that produces legal effects concerning you.

11. Changes to this policy

We update this policy from time to time, for example when we change the tools we use or when the law changes. The current version is always available on this page, and the date of the last update is shown below the text.
